<h2>Precision current control for demanding electroplating research</h2>
Electroplating titanium and aluminium with a conductive and durable metal such as silver is not easy. Being able to precisely control the electrical current during plating plays a crucial role in optimizing 
deposition, in terms of even and consistent distribution and thickness.
During testing of such electroplating processes, with the aim of eventually scaling up for industrial application, students at the lab at the University of Chemistry and Technology at Prague use large electrode areas—monopolar and bipolar—with high current (200 to 300 amps).
<h2 style="font-size: 2rem">Stable output in unusual operating parameters</h2>
Not many rectifiers are able to operate within these unusual parameters, which is one of the reasons that the lab uses a KraftPowercon FlexKraft™ rectifier with two power modules. It delivers the stable high-current output needed, and its modern design and compact footprint means it is safely and easily accommodated in a relatively small lab environment.

<h2 style="font-size: 2rem">Supporting electrochemical research under stable, well-defined conditions</h2>
Other areas of interest for the university include electrochemical water treatment, water electrolysis processes, and advanced oxidization. Research is important for cell design, but to be able to draw conclusions from phenomena taking place (such as mass transfer and bubble generation), studies need to be undertaken in stable and well-defined conditions. Mathematical modelling also needs specific input data. FlexKraft™ enables the students to fulfil these stringent lab requirements in their testing.

<h4>Nothing beats meeting our customers in person</h4>
<h4>We’ve been busy throughout the trade show autumn season, most recently meeting customers and partners at events in Poland, the UK and Turkey. It’s always a valuable opportunity to learn more about the current trends and concerns in the general metal finishing industry, and every year brings something new or different.</h4>
This year, we came away with two key learnings: a reminder of the importance and value of having local partners providing local support for our customers, wherever they are in the world; and how much many of our end-users appreciate the benefits of our recent CoolKraft™ water-to-water heat exchanger solution for tough operating environments.

<h4>The difference that local presence makes</h4>
We know that customers prefer to work with businesses that have a local presence, and – wherever possible – to hear about products and solutions, do business, and receive support from people who speak their language.

However, until recently, providing our expanding customer base in Turkey with the same level of support was becoming challenging, as our trusted partner, Teknobak, had become so busy that they were unable to meet demand. So our Turkish customers were delighted to hear that we had recently appointed Mustafa Mutlu, founder of Nirengi, as our General Metal Finishing Service Engineer, to provide valuable additional support for the market.

With his background in physics and electrical engineering, Mustafa has a deep understanding of the intricate systems and components involved in power supply systems – and since joining us, he has demonstrated his passion for delivering exceptional service, as this recent email from a customer shows. 
<blockquote>“Due to the problem of lack of technical service…we bought a rectifier from one of the local suppliers last year after a serious malfunction. This rectifier has been a problem for us since day one, but the problems have proven to us again that KraftPowercon rectifiers are better.
When we were contacted by Mustafa Mutlu, he immediately created an emergency plan and arrived at our company. Although we talked about him repairing our 6-module rectifier… when we explained the serious problems we had experienced in our other 9-module rectifier, he ensured that it was put into operation as well. In the meantime, he also provided training to our staff. He patiently commissioned these two rectifiers with us until 05:30 in the morning.
I would especially like to express my endless gratitude to Mr. Mustafa. I would like to thank you again and again for proving to us that KraftPowercon is the best, for providing us with information we have never heard before, for your patience, and for doing your job with love. I&#8217;m glad you came across us and solved our most important problem.”</blockquote>

Strengthening industrial partnerships for a sustainable future

Business Sweden has been busy helping KraftPowercon to open more doors to green opportunities around the world. Here a look at what’s been happening in India and South Korea.

Playing a key part in India’s green transition 
KraftPowercon, which formed in 2008 following the merger of Powercon India and Kraftelektronik Sweden, aims to play a key part in India’s <a href="https://www.india.gov.in/spotlight/national-green-hydrogen-mission">National Green Hydrogen Mission</a>. The company recently established a new 3.500m2 production facility in Pune, India, especially for design and manufacture of hydrogen power solutions for electrolyser OEM customers around the world.  
Partnering with <a href="https://www.business-sweden.com/markets/asia-pacific/india/">Business Sweden in India</a> enables KraftPowercon to participate in a wide range of awareness activities, such as industry events and webinars, where they can make new connections and create new business opportunities for themselves and others.  
Business Sweden has played a key role in helping KraftPowercon to showcase what they are doing (and how they are doing it), such as when they jointly hosted a visit to the Pune facility for senior management and director delegates from diverse industries across the country.  
Nineteen major Swedish organisations based in India were represented at the KraftPowercon event, embracing manufacturing, retail, mining, metals, engineering and packaging. These included Absortech, Alleima, AQ Mechanical, Atlas Copco, Cavotec, Dynapac, Epiroc Mining, Ericsson, MannTek, Nefab, Seco Tools and SKF. They were also joined by Erik Malmberg &#8211; Consul at Consulate General of Sweden in Mumbai.

All the visitors had a keen interest in green hydrogen solutions, as well as observing how KraftPowercon has designed and run their green initiatives.  
The KraftPowercon Chakan facility in Pune is non-polluting, with no emissions of dust, oil or water. And while contributing to many of the 17 UN goals in the way they operate their own business, KraftPowercon actively works to enable industry and their customers across four in particular:  
<ul>
<li>Goal 3: Good health and well-being (enabling reductions in airborne dust pollutants of over 30%) </li>
<li>Goal 6: Clean water and sanitation (supporting efficient seawater treatment processes) </li>
<li>Goal 7: Affordable and clean energy (powering the scale-up of the hydrogen production industry) </li>
<li>Goal 14: Life below water (making marine ballast water treatment more efficient and reliable) </li>
</ul>

Experiencing the KraftPowercon ethos and seeing how their electrostatic precipitation (ESP) rectification upgrade solutions help industries to control air pollutants (without huge infrastructure investment, and even where space is tight) was of great interest to the visiting group. KraftPowercon’s electroplating solutions are designed to help reduce energy consumption and waste, while increasing efficiency – all of which will also cut operational costs for its customers. And PowerKraft rectifiers convert AC to DC current for the electrolysis process at the heart of green hydrogen production.

During their tour, the visitors were able to talk with KraftPowercon employees. Many delegates made a point of commenting on how they found the assembly team members to be knowledgeable and enthusiastic, enjoying the opportunity to explain product features and about Uninterruptible Power Systems to their guests.

<h4>Continuing the hydrogen debate </h4>
At the end of the visit everyone regrouped for an interesting and stimulating debate on hydrogen and its use in the future. And when asked what they had found most interesting, many delegates said that it was seeing the demonstration of KraftPowercon’s H2Kraft container (the tailored turnkey solution that provides the power supply for green hydrogen production), and how that really does make life easier for customers.

The visitors were also impressed by the overall cleanliness of the production process, and the enthusiasm of the employees. Naturally for an Indian company, the food and hospitality received high praise as well – KraftPowercon even presented everyone with a beautiful plant as a gesture of friendship, symbolic of their commitment to green industry.

<h4>Supporting green initiatives builds on a strong start in South Korea </h4>
KraftPowercon established their Korean business office back in 2018 within the Business Sweden building – the ideal location for embarking on the joint activities and sharing business opportunities. Since then, they have grown considerably, enabling a move to their own premises. 
Alongside Business Sweden, KraftPowercon is a founding member of the <a href="https://www.swedenabroad.se/en/embassies/south-korea-seoul/current/swedenkorea-green-transition-alliance/">Sweden + Korea Green Transition Alliance</a>. Alliance members are committed to partnering with Korean industrial partners to support and help raise the ambition of Korea’s efforts towards a green and carbon-neutral society. They also support the <a href="https://unfccc.int/sites/default/files/resource/LTS1_RKorea.pdf">2050 Carbon Neutral Strategy of the Republic of Korea</a>, and the government’s air pollution goal of <a href="https://www.trade.gov/country-commercial-guides/south-korea-air-pollution-control">lowering fine dust concentration by over 35% by 2024</a>. This is one of KraftPowercon’s areas of expertise, as their products upgrade the power supply for electrostatic precipitators to make them far more efficient, saving energy and helping customers to comply with even the toughest particulate emission standards. 
<h6>Hydrogen expertise unlocks market opportunity</h6>
As in India, businesses in South Korea find the opportunity to work with Swedish organisations attractive. Swedish technology has great credibility in the international business world, and a reputation for quality and reliability. This is one of the reasons that KraftPowercon was recently one of the hosts of a Business Sweden trip to Surte, our HQ in Sweden, for five South Korean journalists – they were keen to see Swedish industry in action for themselves.

KraftPowercon’s main focus in Korea at the moment is on supporting hydrogen production, which is highly relevant, given the <a class="Hyperlink SCXW200919618 BCX8" href="https://english.motie.go.kr/en/pc/pressreleases/bbs/bbsView.do?bbs_cd_n=2&amp;bbs_seq_n=1120" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">government’s recent commitment</a> to establishing a clean hydrogen supply chain and nurturing a world-leading hydrogen industry. And while the market is not yet mature, major organisations are looking into the opportunities available.

<h4>KraftPowercon and Business Sweden at H2 Meet 2023 </h4>
In previous years, KraftPowercon’s appearances at Korea’s <a href="https://www.h2meet.com/html/en/main.php">H2 Meet</a>, the international hydrogen exhibition, have attracted a huge amount of attention. At the September 2023 event, their stand will be in the Swedish Pavilion, where they will be welcoming key industry figures and government officials, and contributing to a seminar on powering green hydrogen production.

KraftPowercon is proud to be part of a growing community of over 100 Swedish companies in Korea, including industry giants SSAB, Atlas Copco, Ericsson and SKF. 
Business Sweden operates in 44 locations across Europe, Americas, Middle East &amp; Africa, and Asia Pacific. Their remit is to support Swedish companies in growing their global sales, while helping international companies to invest and expand in Sweden.

The project is one big step towards a carbon-neutral energy future by a large-scale wind farm out in the sea, which will provide 6 million UK households with renewable energy.

The KraftPowercon UPS division has received an order from the ABB Group for the North Sea link project between Kvilldal in Norway and Blyth in the United Kingdom.

The KraftPowercon UPS division has received an order from the ABB Group for the North Sea link project between Kvilldal in Norway and Blyth in the United Kingdom. When the project is complete, it will be the world&#8217;s longest power connection on the seabed with its 730 kilometers. The link should connect the energy market between the countries and the hydropower in Norway with the wind power in the UK.
The Växjö company will provide solutions for uninterrupted power for both stations.

KraftPowercon Uninterruptible Power Systems becomes part of a unique project for fossil-free power with use of hydrogen fuel cells

KraftPowercon Uninterruptible Power Systems becomes part of a unique project for fossil-free power for construction sites with hydrogen-powered fuel cells. The project is led by fuel cell manufacturer Teco 2030, construction company Implenia and Norwegian state development company Enova.
KraftPowercon will be a complete supplier for the electrical power conversion including 800kW fuel cells in a container design. The purpose of the project is to replace the diesel generator in construction and civil engineering projects. 
“We see that the green transition with the electrification of society has created an incredible amount of market engagement for our upcoming galvanic isolated DC/DC converter, DCKraft. Several major players in the renewable energy sector, not least in fuel cell technology, have shown great interest, which confirms our investment in innovative power electronics. For KraftPowercon, the project has grown from the beginning only to deliver our newly developed DCKraft power converter to becoming a supplier for the entire power conversion system. The plan is for the system to be in operation at the beginning of next year.” Arvid Mortensson, Business Developer

The most common documents you will find in the customer portal are manuals, layouts, circuit diagrams, device lists, single line diagrams, and setting lists.

To get access to our customer portal with information about your system we have chosen to use QR codes that are placed on your system, and you can easily get access to relevant information.
Scan the QR code, create an account and confirm via e-mail and you will be up and running.
There are two levels for your account, basic and extended. If you chose basic, you will access every information besides documentation. This type of account you only confirm by yourself with your specified e-mail. If you choose an extended account, you will access everything that a basic account provides you with and documentation as well.  This type of account needs to be confirmed with your specified e-mail and from us at KraftPowercon. This is for your own safety.
